Adsense Earnings September 2007
Overall earnings for September = $1091
September was a rollercoaster ride for adsense earnings :-
$
Day of month
Traffic / page views did go up and down somewhat during the month but it did not fluctuate anywhere near as much as earnings did, and I don't really know what the reasons are, although I have seen a lot of people say that Adsense earnings vary wildly from day to day, so it is not just my web site!
See below for number of visitors (September = blue, August = green) (Ignore the big spike in the middle which was caused by me messing around with Javascript code which did not agree with Google Analytics...
Which leads me to another mystery - Google Analytics seems to insist that I get far fewer visitors and page views than any other method of measuring web stats that I have used.... At any rate if Google Analytics is to be believed then during August (very roughly, approximately allowing for the false spike above) my page visits/page views increased by approx 35%, and my earnings increased by approx 35% when compared to the previous month....
Here are my 'Traffic Sources' for September (Bear in mind that the 'Direct' traffic has been falsely inflated somewhat by the above mentioned Javascript)..
Which means that Google is responsible for driving approx 75% of traffic to my site...
Finally, if your site is getting a reasonable amount of traffic and you want other people (advertisers etc) to know about it, I think that Quantcast provides a great service. Click on the link below to see a traffic summary from them for my web site.

Very impressive! I'm curious to know what marketing/promotion strategies went into this to get the traffic so high? Very good SEO? Congrats on the great work!
ReplyDeleteThanks.
ReplyDeleteSEO has a large part to play..
But the main thing it to provide a LOT of quality content that people want to view / download / use / link to..
(Which takes a LOT of work)..
